The Boy is on a road trip this weekend.
My accident-prone, impulsive, yet intelligent and extremely sensible son, drove 350 miles to spend two days at an air show.
My standard line to this child any time he leaves the house is, “Don’t do stupid things.” As often as he comes home from perfectly innocent outings with painful injuries, this warning is always reasonable.
I think this image pretty much sums up my concerns about the situation.
Sometimes the correct words fail me. So, I’m just going to leave it at this–wishing you the strength to make it until his return. 🙂

Thank you. Sometimes when I have too much time alone to think I fall back on some latent anxiety patterns. Trying very hard not to go there.
