Well, my complaints against the annoying weather are gone.
For several weeks it had been COLD here in the mornings but HOT as the day wore on. Very difficult to figure out what to wear, especially since I”m heartily sick of warm weather clothes.
But now the Midwest is caught for the foreseeable future in winter temperatures and even a good chance of snow this weekend. So I’m free to wear the sweaters I’ve broken out of storage recently, the adorable boot cuffs I made for myself, super cool tall boots, and the NEW COAT I got for 50% off last weekend when Middle Sister and I went shopping together. Of course, gone are the days of dashing out the door without a thought. Now we have to search for scarves and gloves, get everything situated and buttoned up, and waddle out the door bundled like Ralphie’s little brother in “A Christmas Story.”
But seriously, the cute coat makes up for a lot.
Love the boot cuffs! As much as conspiracy theories intrigue me, because I wonder who actually sits back and wastes their time thinking up such nonsense, I swear..WordPress has created some type of conspiracy between my blog and yours. Now, I have some reading to catch up on. You look cute in your winter attire.

You know, I was wondering, because I haven’t seen any comments from you on my posts since we got that thing straightened out last week. I’m so glad to hear from you!
I just wrote a very pitiful and angst-y rant post about having a super crappy day…but I have to say that being able to wear my cute new coat thoughout all the crap happening today has helped just a tiny bit.

Ugh, I hate winter. The only thing that makes up for it is getting to wear cute sweaters and scarves! And I guess Christmas is ok, too. But I will be totally over winter come January.

I know! January and February and part of March are totally the smelly armpit of the year. I’m convinced we should move Christmas to the end of January to make winter more bearable.

You had me at easy and lost me at double pointed needles. Love the boot cuffs though.

Yeah, I’m coming from the perspective of a mom whose kids are growing up and moving away, who has WAY too much time on her hands to watch Youtube how-to videos over and over and over again. 🙂

Ooh I like the boot cuffs! I should make some!

It was way easier than I was expecting. I had to learn to use double pointed needles, and did a lot of ripping out and starting over, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Give it a try!

oh boy, I am not very crafty. You should see me try to cut in a straight line! Perhaps I will invest in leg warmers or tall socks. Money may not buy love, but it will help you to avoid crafting…which I like.
