Couldn’t ask for a better July 4th holiday in our corner of the world. Sunny skies, comfortable temperatures, and a Saturday holiday. Nothing else is pressing, and we’re enjoying just having the whole family together.
The day got off to a perfect start with a visit to the Farmer’s Market. Good food, families, a brass band, even a lovely gentleman creating sketches of people and pets at no charge. Now a lazy day stretches ahead, with a low-key fireworks display this evening – sitting in an open field, pulling on hoodies as the sun goes down, and plenty of “oohs” and “aahs.”
Hoping for a happy and peaceful 4th for you, as well!
You have such a beautiful family! 🙂 The fourth is not really celebrated here in Thailand, but some of us Americans have BBQ’s and such to celebrate. This year though I was driving my mom to the airport so I didn’t do anything. 🙂

Thank you! I suppose there probably aren’t big fireworks displays there for the 4th! But I’m glad you had some other folks to celebrate with. 🙂

Our 4th was a washout. Had a great day with the family, but no outdoor activities.

Bummer! We had excellent weather for outdoor stuff – had to wear hoodies to keep from shivering during the fireworks!

We’re still stuck with the heat and humidity. One thing I don’t like about the rain here—in my mind, it’s supposed to be cold when it rains.
